THE BUSINESS RESOURCE CENTER
The Burlington County Business Resource Center was designed to provide business solutions to small and mid-size employers. Open since the Fall of 2004 and located within the One-Stop Career Center, the Business Resource Center address workforce development requirements associated with recruitment and training. A secondary role of the Business Resource Center is to help navigate government agencies and non-profit organizations to find information about new business development, loan programs, child labor laws, general wage and hour information, labor market data and permitting issues.
The professional staff in the Business Resource Center will help you pre-screen and assess job applicants, conduct on-site interviewing, participate in job fairs, gather information on assistance programs available for workers, and even help individuals apply for special customized training grants. The Business Resource Center will maintain resource library with business reference materials, labor market information, tax information, information on supervisory skills enrichment seminars and team building, and access to professional outplacement services.
The Business Resource Center concept is a logical extension of the workforce development mission set forth by the One-Stop Career Center and will help local businesses build a stronger workforce.
